Round the fountains
The Château of Aigle stands right in the middle of the vineyards and dominates the town. You'll enjoy exploring its picturesque little streets. One of them, lined by very old houses, is reached by a covered footbridge. On your way round, discover some of the 27 fountains which are one of the unusual features of this interesting small town.

The vineyard path
Starting from Yvorne, the ribbon of vines stretches along the edge of the mountain to the tiered vineyards of Lavey-les-Bains. This is old wine country and it welcomes you with open arms. Make sure to stop halfway at the Château of Aigle and taste some of the delicious local product.

Walk to the ruins of the charterhouse of Oujon

The Path of the 100th

Leaving Echallens, about 15 km from Lausanne, wandering between fields and forests, a succession of paths, little roads and tracks that pass through a host of villages brings you finally to Granges-Marnand. With its millstones lying in the grass, information panels and bed & breakfast farms, this is an agricultural area that will teach you a lot about wheat.
